Swindon Borough Council and Raychem AC Fishery Rules 2008-06-16 No Carp to be placed in Keepnets under any circumstances, except in matches, see match rules. Night Fishing is prohibited on all waters except Coate Water and Plaum’s Pit. Fishing is allowed from Dawn to Dusk only The rights of the clubs to fish are liable to be limited, extended, terminated or in extreme conditions, temporarily closed to preserve the fish stocks and the privileges of clubs and its members are subject to such rights. SBC shall not be liable to repay any club lease fees for the loss of any privileges. The Gate at the entrance shall be locked after entering and leaving the Lagoon. This is to provide you with security and to prevent Fly Tipping. Anyone not locking the gate will be Banned from the Club. The Club shall be covered by Third Party Liability Insurance Neither Raychem AC, nor any member of the Club, or the Officers shall be liable for any damage, loss or injury sustained by a member or guest or any member of the public. You must not introduce into the Club water fish from any other water. Any item not covered by these rules shall be brought before the committee whose decision shall be final. No fishing is allowed between platforms or from the wall at the inlet end of the Lagoon.
Club Members or Day Ticket members whilst fishing on SBC waters shall not: Damage mowing grass, banks, bankside vegetation, fencing or structure associated with a fishery. Take a dog with them, with the exception of a registered blind person Light any fires, nor leave bankside litter Carry or use guns, firearms, catapults ( with the exception of recognised bait catapults) Camp at the Lagoon Use radios, personnel stereos unless fitted with a personnel hearing appliance which must be used Fish from any boat or similar vessel, use any form of Model bait boat Cause any annoyance or disturbance to other fishery users or local residents Take away from any SBC water any fish, dead or alive or retain any fish other than in a keepnet or carpsack specially manufactured for the purpose
Club members and Day ticket members are required to comply with the EA byelaws and to carry their Club membership or Day ticket and a valid EA fishing licence at all times whilst fishing at the Lagoon. They shall produce them, if requested, by a EA bailiff, SBC fisheries officers, club committee, club bailiff or club member on production of their own valid EA licence. Fishing shall not be permitted in any other manner than by angling with Rod and line. A landing net maybe used to secure a hooked fish. The use of lay lines, nets, gorge baits, trimmers and gaffs is prohibited. Fishing is only permitted from designated swims and the car park wall No angler shall occupy more than one swim or use more than 2 rods No baited rods to be left unattended at any time The use of barbed / micro barbed hooks is prohibited All line must have a hook length that is a lesser breaking strain than the main line All anglers are responsible for removing all litter from a swim he/she is fishing The use of livebaits is prohibited Access and parking is at agreed points only All keepnets used on SBC waters shall conform to the minimum requirements of the EA bye-laws relating to their design and construction All anglers shall ensure that all incidents involving injured or distressed wildlife are reported at the earliest possible time to the Swindon Ranger Team on 01793-490150 or 01793-466453 All clubs will adopt the SBC equalities statement MEMBERSHIP CARD RULES
- Your membership remains the property of Raychem AC and is for the personal use of the member only.
- A duplicate can be issued, on receipt of a passport photo, SAE and an admin fee of £5, please send to secretary.
- This membership entitles you to fish Raychem AC, provided you comply with all club rules. It is not transferable nor refundable.
- In the event of a member having his right to fish either suspended or terminated, their membership card must be returned to the secretary.
- Raychem AC shall not be liable to refund the whole or part of monies paid in the event of suspension or termination
- Any Club Officer has the right to retain a member’s card if it is agreed that the member is not complying with Raychem AC rules.
